Equestrian Winter Affair – Val de Vie

This past June we were invited to be part of the workshops organised by the Little Pink Book as part of the on stage entertainment at the SA Wedding Show . Each workshop was a collaboration of service providers in the industry and together we created a little taste of a full wedding – stationary, decor, cake and food in a hour. This shoot was the result of that collaboration.

The Venue partner for this workshop was Val de Vie, our very own South African Polo Estate. The Restaurant and its beautiful big fireplace, high back chairs and antique furniture provide the inspiration for this very classic table setting. We brought the patio table inside, because we found the natural worn wood texture so exciting.  Then we added the high back upholstered chairs, cut glass glasses and pewter containers filled with proteas and vegetables. I love the contrast between smooth and rough, classic glamour and casual country living that to me, defines the Val de Vie life style.
